wine tasting class

Hi All,

I know that some of you who are members of the Raleigh group will have already read this. It has been suggested that the members of the Chapel Hill group might like to attend.

NOTE:**** It costs $20 for people who are members of a group (otherwise $30.) And you must register beforehand. Details to register are below. ****

Please address any questions to the store in Cary. I do not have any information besides what is written below. Don't forget to register beforehand.

Sip...a wine store in Cary is once again partnering with French wine importer, Thomas Meunier, of Authentique Vin, for a special class specifically tailored to the French speaking community in the Triangle area.

This class will be taught mostly in French though we will also answer some questions in English as well. Even if you don’t speak French fluently, you will still enjoy these fabulous French wines and the company of area Francophiles.

France is the one of the largest producers of wine in the world. Varietals like Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet grow here, but France is also home to Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Chenin Blanc, amongst others. This class will be an overview of the great growing regions in this country and the most common varietals grown. Light regionally inspired appetizers will be served.

Thomas Meunier, a native of France, comes to us from the Loire region where he worked for several years representing a small family owned winery. With this experience came a true understanding and appreciation for what makes each wine different with its quality and defaults. “I have kept this understanding first while building my selection; finding true winegrowers that make no concessions, with distinctive personalities that are reflected in their wine. Authentic people that make authentic wine in a sustainable way which reveal the identity of a soil, a grape and a climate - the notion of Terroir.”

All wines being featured at this event will be available for purchase at a discount.

In order to attend this Wine Class with Sip, please follow these instructions:

1) Register directly with SIP by either calling the store at [masked] or you may Register Online at Sip...a wine store. Classes do fill up quickly!

2) Payment is due at the time of Registration. Refunds are not offered. In case of cancellation a credit toward another class will be extended.

3) RSVP here on the Meetup site class event page. ** Please do NOT RSVP "Yes" unless you are certain that you will attend the class. We ask that you do this in order for us to have an accurate number for our planning purposes.. Please note that If you have not Registered and Paid directly with Sip, you have not enrolled in the class and we cannot accept walk-ins. Thank you for your cooperation. **

Please note that this event is open to the public and not exclusive to our meet-up group. This will provide everyone an opportunity to meet other French speaking individuals in the area. This class is for Adults only.

Please arrive a few minutes early as we will begin the class promptly at 7:00 pm!
