Banfield Dog Park

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • My husband and I recently found out about the dog park located off 82nd Ave. at the Banfield HQ and have really fallen in love with it. Because there are paved walkways (as well as grassy areas), we thought this might be a good idea for meetups when the weather gets wetter and the grass is muddier in these upcoming months. Also it's pretty quiet when we've been there so there wouldn't be a lot of larger dogs that we usually see when we're at Wallace Park. We did have to do a behavioral evaluation to make sure Lulu wasn't aggressive but it's free and open to the public once your dog is approved. Just an idea! :)

your dogs should have all those vaccines already its just the pain of getting the paperwork from your vet....right! Petsmarts are everywhere so the behavior assessment shouldn't be too bad....

I really don't think that the requirements for this park are a bad idea. I rather like the idea! Personally Frenchies are not cheap dogs why would you not get all the required vaccines and other treatments. I don't want my baby getting sick.

Man! Seeing all the requirements laid out like that is pretty daunting even though I understand why they are important! I can check to see if it'll be ok to have a meetup there without having everyone going through the trouble and let you guys know!

"Access is by key card provided to members. Membership is free, but requires:

    submission of an application form,
    a signed waiver form,
current vaccination records for rabies, parvo, distemper, lepto, giardia, bordetella and lyme 3,

    - I'm assuming this is still current!

I would concur that this park is lovely and likely very safe but is it worth all of those vaccinations?!
