Lets do some cycling now that the weather is getting so perfect. This will be 11 mile round trip ride. 5.5 miles out and the same back.
This is a great ride because you do not have to stop to cross any streets. This path parallels the 101 freeway along a wash which is very pretty for most of the trip. The path goes under all of the off ramps for the streets. It is not a difficult ride because it is flat other than going down and back up the underpasses. If you are not a strong rider you may need a bike with speeds to help you back up the up ramps.
We will meet at 10:00am by the Sandbar Mexican restaurant and then look around the Farmers Market together for a half hour. We will meet again at 10:40 by our cars near the Sandbar where we will pick up anyone else who skipped the Farmers Market. We will leave by 10:45 so if you miss us pick up the path according to this map and head north. We will stop at the Rio Vista Park for a bathroom break and then head back.
Once back we can decide where we would like to have some lunch together. There is the Sandbar, Blue Burger and BJ Restaurant and Brewhouse. This is a nice group of riders from the West Side and we always enjoy chatting at lunch afterwards. Come join us.
This ride will take about an hour. Your fanny can take an hour!
See you then. Kim
