Re: [friends-264] Meetup details changed: OKTOBERFEST PUB CRAWL ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

The funny thing about this person complaining about the pud crawl a week eirlier is that THE SAINT ARNOLDS BREWERY are the ones that set the date for the pub crawl. We are just going to their event. Our group has nothing to do with the planning or the date of it. That person that has a problem with it should call the brewery and complain. They will probably just laff about the request!

well as usual per things on meetup we completely agree Lisa,     and let me make this even more clear, perhaps the st patricks day example was not a great one.  Let me make a better one,  its not like were having a christmas or thanksgiving party a month before those dates, again its just an octorber fest party.  And yes as lisa states, everyone is quite busy during the month of october, so i think having something that is usually in Oct is in fact a very good idea.   thanks

October is a mega mega mega busy month for me and a lot of people. There are so many festivals and don't forget Halloween parties and Fall celebrations such as Ren Fest and the Greek Festival. You won't hurt my feelings about having things earlier. I won't be going to the Oktoberfest Pub crawl anyway...because I am throwing a big party of my own on that Saturday. Also...I am more of a hard liquor/mixed drink person and beer is not my drink of choice. But Great Fun to all that go! I would have gone just to hang out with my Meet-up friends and socialize. Anyway...I can't imagine someone getting upset about this issue with having the event earlier. There is always someone not happy with something in Meet-up or someone that wants to cause drama or gets their panties in a ruffle. Thus the worries and frustrations of being an organizer and with me....an assistant organizer. You just can't please everyone! Enough Said....---Lisa A. Gegenheimer
