Ok. Sometimes life hands you lemons and the best thing to do is make lemonade. The play I had originally scheduled has closed as the theatre company has shut down for the season due to financial issues. So, I have a new possibility in its place. Same place, but we see the AZ Theatre Co production of THE SUNSHINE BOYS. The date will be the same, but it will be a preview performance. Here is the overview:
Lewis and Clark were the kings of comedy - it's a shame they can't stand each other! Al Lewis and Willie Clark kept audiences in stitches for decades, but now estranged for eleven years, they agree to reunite for one last TV performance. But can they get through their most famous sketch one last time without killing one another? Reconciliation and friendship battle grudges and resentment in Neil Simon's comic masterpiece about growing old.
Tickets will be a bit more expensive, at $35.00 to $70.00, but it is Neil Simon and in my opinion well worth it. Order single tickets at the box office. (602)[masked]
We can do dinner beforehand at nearby District restaurant at 6 and walk over to the theatre afterwards.
