The purpose of this group is to get together downtown residents and anyone interested in both meeting new people and in supporting the growing art, music, and restaurant and club scene in downtown Phoenix. Meetups could take place at Copper Star Coffee on a Saturday, Roosevelts for a great beer on a weeknight, Carly's for dinner on a Friday, Modified for a great show, on any First Friday along Grand Ave. Or, anywhere group members suggest, in downtown/Central Phoenix! Please be sure to read our "About Us" page and read the FAQ on the Message Board for more about membership in the Downtown Phoenix Meetup. Attendance Policy: Most of the restaurants that we meet up at require reservations. If you RSVP yes and do not show up without notifying us in advance or changing your RSVP 3 times, you will be removed from the group. If you notice asterisks by you name, you will know that each asterisk represents how many times you RSVP'd and didn't show up. Please be considerate and change your RSVP to no, if you are not going to show up. If there is a waiting list, and you were taking a spot, that means that someone else could have attended but wasn't able to because you didn't change your RSVP. Also, when we make reservations at restaurants, they set up the tables for the amount of people we made the reservation for. It is very rude, and it is unfair to the restaurant who took the reservation and agreed to do separate checks, which some of them only reluctantly do. PLEASE take our attendance policy seriously, because it will result in you being removed from the group.
