New Attendance Policy

From: Rachel

Hello Saturday Dinner Members!

This email is notify you of our new attendance policy. The past few dinners we've had a high percentage of late cancellations (within 24 hours of a dinner) and no shows. This makes it extremely difficult to organize events and we're asking you not do that. We love the Saturday Dinners and want them to be successful, and we think you do too. Thank you very much for your cooperation! Any questions, please contact the Organizers at any time.

See you soon!

Saturday Night Dinners Attendance Policy

We have a 24-hour rule. It's like when the clock strikes midnight in Cinderella. This is the final hour and we need to know if you're coming or not. Please make sure your RSVP accurately reflects your intention to attend an event or not.

So, 24 hours prior to an event...

  • If your RSVP is Maybe, change it to Yes or No. If circumstances prevent you from being able to commit to a Yes but you want to secure a spot just in case, email the Organizer and we will help you. (Please don't RSVP Yes unless you're sure you can come.)
  • If your RSVP is Yes, we will be expecting you. Canceling your RSVP within 24 hours is a violation of our policy.
  • Communicate late cancellations. If you cancel within 24 hours of an event or don't show, you can avoid penalties by immediately emailing the Organizer and explaining your situation.

1 Late Cancellation/No Show = Warning
2 Late Cancellations/No Shows = Possible Removal from Group

This attendance policy is intended to reduce the number of late cancellations and no shows by establishing the group's expectations of its members and the consequences for not adhering to them. It does not apply to changing your RSVP to Yes if a spot opens up on the RSVP list. We will be tracking late cancellations and no shows and will take action in accordance with our policy. The most important thing to remember is when in doubt, communicate. If you are considerate, we will be very understanding and you may be able to avoid penalties. For future reference, this attendance policy can be found on our About Page in the Files section of our website.
