The talk, by author Rob Yasinsac will be about an effort to raise awareness for the plight of some of the region?s forgotten and threatened cultural treasures. In addition to great river estates, the illustrated talk features sites more meaningful to everyday life in the Hudson River Valley: Churches and hotels, commercial and civic buildings, mills and train stations.
Robert Yasinsac is a museum associate at Philipsburg Manor in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., a property of Historic Hudson Valley.With Thomas E. Rinaldi, he is the co-author of Hudson Valley Ruins: Forgotten Landmarks of an American Landscape (University Press of New England, 2006.. He is also the author of /Briarcliff Lodge/ (Arcadia Publishing, 2004).
