Are you a chic young professional? Are you also a chick? Do you want to expand your social circle? If yes, congratulations, you are a Manhattan Chic Chick!
Why join our group?
*Our events are cozy, easy-to-meet new friends events! No wandering around a giant venue by yourself. You're greeted and welcomed into our circle from the start. Many girls meet their best friends here, and maintain those relationships with years, going to movies and dinners, out to clubs on the weekends, or even taking trips together, all outside of our meetup. Some girls continue to come to events, and others just hang w/ their new friends outside of meetup.
*Life-long friends.Enjoy the city, expand your circle, connect with great girls like yourself! We all know it gets tougher to meet people every year after you graduate from college, or when your friends move for their jobs, or move out of the city to start families. But this city is MUCH more fun when you have a great group of friends to share it with! So come join us!
*Free personality quiz included! Take it here (http://www.chicchickf...) -- and post the results on your profile. Then at the event, it's a fun icebreaker! Your result puts you into the purple, blue, orange or green groups! Each color group contains your TOP 4 MATCHES for your long-term best friends! (Not to say you won't become great friends w/ other girls as well...but for roommates, world-wide travel partners, business partners, or life-long friends, these are most-compatible/least-conflict matches.
*Personal story here! When I moved to NYC from Arizona, I knew no one! I came here for a great experience, and I ended up meeting almost ALL of the great girls I know in this city from this group! :) Many of the girls you see in the pictures are now some of my best friends.
*Does it matter if you're new to the city? Nope. We get constant new girls who want to connect themselves and expand their social life! Whether you're new to town or a NY Native, we want to meet you.
*DUES -- Obviously, running this group takes my own time and money. I pay the website fees, I paid to have the quiz developed, I pay Meetup fees, and I spend my time organizing events, researching venues, buying colored bracelets/beads, keeping track of your quiz results, and introducing you to each other at events. Dues usually range from $5-$10 per event, except for special events. Usually, you bring cash for any drinks, snacks, coffee or dinner you purchase -- have cash and a variety of bills to make paying a group check easy (for dinners, etc.). And it's easier to bring cash to most bars, some of which have a credit card minimum.
$5-$10 dues is not very much to pay for the opportunity to meet a great new group of potential new friends, who you otherwise might never meet.
*Our events are either with a small group (so it's easier to get to know others), or they are structured in a non-awkward way. Our Friend-Making Party is one example -- you meet everyone in a comfy environment where we all rotate around and talk with each person for 5 minutes. Then, after the ice is broken, we have a chance to socialize more after.
