AS OF 5:30AM SATURDAY- LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE A BIT CLOUDY THIS MORNING, BUT OTHER THAN THAT, SHOULD BE OKAY WEATHER.
THE PICNIC IS ON.
To make things easier for those taking a bus, we will set up at the picnic area that has a shelter/roof, which is located at the end of the parks road. (So if you were to WALK into the park from a bus stop, enter from the EXIT and you wont have as far to walk.)
There is a small parking lot there as well.
People driving their vehicles would just enter at the entrance and keep driving till just before the exit. It is not far by car. You will see us set up on the left side of the road. (Just keep going straight and follow the road to the end.)
The road through the park is a one way.
REMEMBER TO BRING A PORTABLE CHAIR FOR YOURSELF!!!
We should eat around noon.
A couple said they don't know how to get to St Vital Park. If you know where Osborne Village is, and are coming from that area, just follow Osborne south. The road changes to Dunkirk. At St Vital Road which is before St Mary's Road, turn right and go straight to the end.
At the end where the stop sign is, turn LEFT and continue down River Road. You will go past houses, and between houses you will see a very green area with a large sign that says St Vital Park Entrance. Go in there.
If you see St Vital Exit, and came from Dunkirk, you went past the entrance.

This year I thought St Vital would be a good place for a picnic. It is a little quieter and easier to obtain a picnic spot without reservation cost to the group.
It is a beautiful park that I don't get out to very often. So I think it will be a great way to spend the first day of summer in 2014.
I will bring the net again with the volleyball and badminton rackets, so you can choose what you want to play if you feel active. Croquet, and football. Frisbee anyone? Or perhaps you just want to sit and enjoy the day.
Everyone should bring a food item. If you have a portable folding chair, I would advise bringing that for yourself, as well.
No $2 Meet up fee, but bring a food item for the potluck picnic.
