Let's meet up at a local bar/restaurant for casual drinks/appetizers. It's an easy laid-back way to get to know people! Ron Blacks in White Plains has an amazing happy hour until 7pm.

Actually, IMHO you should have it start as early as possible and go for as long as possible...more people will show if the hours are longer...you don't have to stay the whole time but make the hours 3:30 - 10:00 and you'll get more stragglers through the night and more people feeling like they can make it. REMEMBER: you personally don't have to stay the whole time!

Hello. Is anyone showing up early tomorrow? I can try to get there at 6 (or possibly earlier) if someone else is going to be there...it's not that I am a stranger to drinking alone, I just usually do that at home in the dark.

Had such a fun time I still gave 5 stars even though it seems two ladies left without paying their tabs. Which meant the alcoholics who were last to leave, which I may or may not have been one, were stuck paying for them.

Rest easy Friends-to-be. The previously thought destroyed receipts of the offenders have been found. They had already reached out to me and were so upset at forgetting to pay their tabs they agreed to pay for everyone's tab at the next meetup (that might be less than accurate). The only issue now is that a fella named George (not Manoj as I previously thought) threw in $5 on the unpaid tabs. So, we'll need to get $5 to him.
