Let's Go To The Theatre --- SOLD OUT !!!

"Take Me Out" at the Dragon Theatre in Redwood City.

Let's meet for light supper at one of the many good restaurants within walking distance of the theatre and then see this Tony Award-winning show. Tickets are only $15 ... wow.

A brief synopsis ... Darren has it all. He’s one of the biggest baseball stars on the planet. Millions of adoring fans. Endorsements. And then he decides to come out of the closet. This winner of the 2003 Tony Award for Best New Play and Pulitzer Prize finalist tackles homophobia and racism amidst America’s most traditional pastime. This show contains partial nudity and adult language and situations.

Please RSVP as soon as possible and I will purchase the tickets and have the theatre block-off seats for us so we'll all be sitting together. Also please indicate in your RSVP if you would like to have dinner beforehand.

Cheers,
Maggie

I'm so very glad everyone enjoyed the dinner. I thought it was a great night --- the conversation, food, seats at the theatre and the performance were all excellent. Thank you all for coming. See you next time.

    Hi theatre go'ers,
I've made a booking at The Portobello Grill for 6:15 PM for the seven of us. I'm sorry for the delay but there was a bit of a kerfluffle with the theatre tickets but I've been assured we're all set.
The restaurant is located at 875 Middlefield Way and is located near the entrance to the Century 21 Theatre complex. Parking beneath the movie theatre is free for the first two hours and is much easier than driving around looking for street parking which is problematical on a Friday night.
If for any reason your plans have changed, please call me on (650) 283-0147. Looking forward to seeing everyone at 6:15.
    Cheers,
    Maggie

    Have the restaurant information?

    Hi again theatre go'ers,
I have to be in the city all day today but first thing tomorrow I'll make a booking at a restaurant within walking distance of the theatre. As a vegan I have probably the toughest dietary restrictions but I've found that almost every restaurant has something I can order. Is there anyone else with dietary restrictions of which I should be aware?
Let's plan on dinner at 6:30 and I'll get back to you with a location tomorrow. By all means feel free to email me in you have a favourite in the area.
    Cheers,
    Maggie

This performance is now SOLD OUT so no further bookings can be taken. To the seven people going, I just want to make sure that you know that I've reserved the tickets . If you have purchased one on your own, please let me know as soon as possible so I can adjust the number with the Dragon. Also, so far Carol, Kathleen and Jin signed up to have dinner beforehand. To the others who are attending the performance, please let me know if you'll be joining us for dinner beforehand. Thanks

    See you all on Friday.
    Cheers,
    Maggie
