NOTE 1) Please note that Meetup.com has this week changed from using Google maps to Bing. The address is correctly stated but the new Bing map is not quite displaying in the exact location. Basically this pub is located along the main High Holborn High street (and not in the side street as displayed on the Bing map). The pub is very close to Chancery Lane Tube Station. Please ensure you take my mobile phone number which will be switched on until 9:30pm in the very unlikely event you can't find the location.
NOTE 2) PLEASE CAN EVERYONE KINDLY OBSERVE THE WAITING LIST. We highly recommend new members arrive as close to the start as possible, ideally by 8.15pm At this time it's much easier to introduce new members to the group, before most members start arriving.
NOTE 3) I'll be hosting the event and greeting new members (my name is Martyn for those of you who don't know me). My brother Terry will also be assisting me with hosting the event. In the unlikely event that I don't see you first, please ask members in our reserved area for me by name so I can welcome you to the group. I'll be holding a white attendance sheet, wearing a Meetup badge and my photo is on the right.
Join us for our last meetup of the year - Saturday Christmas Drinks and Socialisng at the centrally located Melton Mowbray pub. This pub is another gem - a great looking, warm and spacious pub very close to Chancery Lane Tube Station in Holborn.
The Melton Mowbray is a relaxing venue on a Saturday Night that's ideal for conversation (it's a much busier venue during the week when the city is open).
The pub usually closes around 11.30pm, but then we'll move on to the nearby Penderel's Oak that is open until 1am.
My brother Terry and myself will be there to greet new members and holding white attendance sheets so you can recognise us. However, please check-out our photos on the right just in case we don't see you first.
Finally, if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact us by email through this website. Just click on my photo (Martyn) and choose the option to send an email.
