Join us for a Saturday afternoon visit to Tate Britain. London's Tate Britain holds the largest collection of British art in the world from 1500 to the present day (there are 60,000 works in its collection).
Inside you'll find masterpieces by Gainsborough, Hogarth, Millais, Whistler, as well as outstanding modern and contemporary artists such as Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Damien Hirst. Tate Britain also have the largest collection of works by JMW Turner in the world.
The museum has free entry. Please note that this is a general visit to the permanent exhibitions, rather than a verbal guided tour.
We will meet outside the main riverside entrance on Millbank at 2:00pm (organisers will be holding up a meetup sign). Also ensure you take my mobile number which you can call if you are having difficulties finding the location - 0757 8360117. My Mobile will be switched on at the meetup point outside the main entrance to the museum and switched off when we enter the actual museum at approximately 2:15pm. Once inside, members can either stay with our group or explore the museum by themselves.
At 3:30 pm we will meet once again outside the main entrance and then members have the option of joining us at a nearby local bar/pub for drinks and a chat. My mobile will be switched on once again when we meet outside the entrance at 3:30pm after our visit.
Finally, if you have any queries then please do not hesitate to contact us by email through this website. Just click on my photo (Martyn) and choose the option to send an email.
