I'm originally hungarian and lived in Algeria and Canada before ending up in sunny California. I love traveling and tech startups. I also love meeting new people and sharing tips about places and things.
I love europe, it's diversity and beauty. :)
It's a great place to mingling with people from around the world. Great leadership and well organized events.
I haven’t signed up as yet, but when you go to purchase a ticket you have to pick a seat
I am trained an Interior architect and furniture designer in the Netherlands, but worked with international & multidisciplinary design teams what gave me the experience to conceptualize and design also for other design disciplines as long as it doesn't get to technical ;). What where you "dabbling " in ?
Weekday evenings aren't bad in general. Some of the Wednesday events looked fun, but I live in San Jose and go salsa dancing in downtown San Jose around 9:30 Wednesday nights so I can't really drive west for dinner and then back east for dancing. Do you think anyone would be up for a Thursday? Or if anyone wants to join me there's a beginner class at 8pm so I could host dinner and salsa. I can usually get people on the Agenda Lounge salsa guestlist if I have names by Tuesday.
Thanks for the welcome!
In answer to your question, I've been tutoring ESL on and off since my second year of university, and in Seoul I worked in Samsung HQ as a global consultant. Here, I tried to find a job with my skill set but failed so I'm teaching myself web programming. Now I teach ESL twice a week at a nonprofit. It's not easy to make a living as a jack of all trades!
Weekends are fine sometimes. They're the only real time I have with my fiance so I try not to fill them up too much.
Kovacs, si tu vas en train dimanche j'aimerai bien aller avec toi
Hi Peter! I just found your message from back in December. Appologies for the late reply! I was out of country. Sure, let's talk about colabiration. It would certainly be fun to merge our meet-ups once in a while since we are both surrounded by languages. Feel free to join the Peninsula Language Lovers meet-up tonight and we can continue the conversation. I will also try to make it to one your fun meet-ups in the near future!
Kovacs, I'll be out of town but Tarboosh in RWC is ok if you want to try it. There's Waterfront cafe in San Mateo or Foster City but the food is not that great.
