HAUNTED CANYON Beginners Backpack or Dayhike - Globe

Sat - Sun, May 4 - 5

Leader: Paul Hiegel ([masked])

Length: 8.9 miles one way

Rating: Easy + backpack

MEET in south end of Home Depot parking lot, US-60 and Superstition Springs Blvd,

Is this canyon haunted? - come on out and see for yourselves. This is an easy beginner’s backpack and a beautiful canyon to explore. If spring rains are abundant the water running through the canyon is an added bonus. If you choose not to backpack you can make this a day hike and still have a great time - hike leader will be backpacking.

Carpooling to be determined at Home Depot.

If you are not current on your $15 annual friends Hiking Club membership the hike is $5.00.

Remember ca$h for carpool contribution and optional after-hike replentishment.

Note: "not attending" RSVP's are unnecessary.

Paul is a working remote & has no email.
Yes - I believe that it is his plan to hike in from one of the east trailheads and out a different one; with a short vehicle shuttle to close the loop.
A bit of a drive for a day-hike, but doable for sure.

Will this be the half loop where we shuttle a few cars to the other trailhead? Backpackers staying near Tony's Cabin? I'm still debating whether to backpack or hike this one. :)
