We will leave the valley Friday morning and drive to the Coronado National Forest, about a three hour drive. We stop in Safford for lunch before heading up Mt. Graham. This road will offer incredible views of the area as we ascend to 9,000ft. We will car camp Friday & Saturday evenings in a quiet forested area. Saturday we start hiking from the Ash Creek trailhead and climb up to Webb Peak lookout tower at 10,100ft. We will then continue on and rejoin Ash Creek trail and descend down to the 170ft waterfalls along Ash Creek. After a break for lunch we will return up Ash Creek via the slick rock trail and up to the trail head. Saturday evening expect horseshoes, storytelling and great company. On Sunday we will explore another trail before heading back to the valley around lunch time. This hike is very green with lots of ground plants, tall trees and wild flowers. There are also vast quantities of wild raspberries for the fruit lovers…
