This event will star Mother Nature and Rimside’s menu of hearty hot stews and samplings of micro-brews.  We want to add an element of fun to a walk in the woods.  Let’s get out in the winter – things look different.  Even if you’ve walked the Bradshaw Trail many times, it will feel and look different covered in snow with no leaves on the trees.

We will meet and park at Rimside Grill around 10:00 and leave for the hike by 10:30am

This is an easy hike and is about 2 miles round-trip with plenty of time to walk as fast or slow as you like!

When we get back to Rimside Grill you will be treated to a choice of stews (meat or vegetarian) in a hearty bread bowl along with wonderful samplings of 6 great micro-brews over a period of about an hour.  Non-Alcoholic drinks also available.

WOW! What an event! the hike, although short, was very scenic and the weather fully cooperated with sunny skies, about 65 degrees - a perfect patio day.
The stews were very hearty and flavorful and Steve picked some awesome beers for the sampling. A perfect day up on the Rim!

Great food and beer after a short but fun hike :) Thanks Steve and Tamara for hosting this fun event at your restaurant!!! And thanks Kurt for driving!!

Not sure if you got my email, but I decided Ft McDowell Casino is too big to look for me so I will be at the Chevron Station at the corner of Ft McDowell Rd and Hwy 87 on your right. They have a extended parking lot I can park in. If you have any questions my cell # is[masked]-5127. Thanks!

Hey Kurt...Yah, I need to be back in Phx Sunday night, so I can meet you at that other casino. (Fort McDowell, right?) I'll be there by 8am, that way I'll be ready when you get there. Sound okay?

Kurt, Since you'll be in the Sierra Anches on Monday it may make sense to drop down from 260 east of Payson through Young, after the Pine hike - That is unless you need to get back down the hill Sunday night for some reason.
Otherwise, we can stop for ya at that OTHER casino @ beeline & the verde? Kurt

Hey Kurt, just realized where Casino Arizona is... pretty far south for me to have to go back north. Any chance there can be a northern carpool place as well?? Near Shea and Hwy 87?? Or I can meet you guys up there. Hiking in the Sierra Anches on Monday.
