Well, all the creeks are running, bringing the flora and fauna to life. Springtime is a magical time in the desert - Come see for yourself!
From Peralta Trailhead we will follow the Bluff Spring Trail to Terrapin Trail; near White Springs we will connect with the Dutchman Trail and head to Labarge Spring and camp overnight. These trails offer great views of this wilderness areas and this will be a great hike to experience it all. Sunday morning we will hike out following the Red Tanks Trail to Whiskey Springs Trail and returning to the starting point around Miners Needle on the Dutchman Trail. The night sky will be bright with the hike being 3 days before the full moon (howling is optional) . Sunrise at 6:50 am and sunset is at about 6:30 pm. Plan to leave Peralta Trailhead to begin the hike at 8:30 for those not meeting at Denny's to carpool.
