First meeting of the Beer Club

Hi All,

Traveling around this nation drinking beer from all around made me think, hey, its pretty lonely always being by yourself traveling about about I need another beer.  And then after a few more drinks I was like, hey, I could do this, but with people, thus was born the concept of the Beer Club (originally called Beer Club for Men, but after work shopping we decided to let girls come too).  The concept is pretty easy.  We meet the first Saturday of every month.  Each month a new person hosts. The host chooses the regional beer we will be having along with the time and meal.  The people going bring a 6 pack or large bottle of that beer to share.

As first host we (the royal I) chose Mark Heneks due to his extensive beer knowledge and sweet apartment.  He has chosen Belgium beers and asks that we do a pot-luck style meal (with Belgium, Flemish, and French fair if possible).

Due to the nature of this gathering I am going to cap the number of attendees at 12.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
