Philly Sass Meetup #6: Compass and Extensions

Sass has a not so secret weapon in the great war of the CSS preprocessors. Compass is a meta library for Sass that includes many, most, or all of the snippets and techniques you use to get the job done with CSS. As my friend Sam says, “if you’re not using Compass, you’re probably rewriting Compass.”

I also like to think of Compass as the gateway to the Sass community. Compass’s extension system allows individual developers to contribute large and small tools back to the sass community.

In this meetup we’ll talk about core Compass, great extensions, and a little about how you can make your own extension.

Intro to Sass: 10-15 minutes - Joel Smith @jsumnersmith

Compass: Mason Wendell, Zivtech, @codingdesigner

CSS Lint for SASS Compass extension: John Riviello @JohnRiv
