Frugal Fashionista Plus Size February Clothing Swap

Welcome to a whole new way of shopping... Swap - Don't shop -for all the clothing, shoes and accessories you can take home!

This swap is for all of our Full Figured Gals!

Sizes 14 - 30

For those of you who keep telling me to provide lunch EAT BEFORE YOU COME. This is a clothing swap -not a luncheon. If I do get a sponsor to provide food -that's a bonus, not a requirement.

Thanks for understanding;)

Please bring at least 5 pieces of clothing and 2 accessories (jewelry, handbags, scarves etc.)  to add to our tables. "The early bird gets the worm"

Drop off your clothing @ 11:30- swap time begins promptly at 1:00(not before)Volunteers -please come at 10:30 to set up tables to be ready to collect clothing at 11:30.

CHECK IN TABLE:

I or a designated volunteer will be sitting at a table where each guest will check in and pay their $7.00 donation (If you haven't paid before hand via paypal). Prepay $5.00 to [masked] Please bring cash for the raffles as we have a few things that would be great to receive from various businesses.

After you drop off your items, you are expected to leave and come back at 1:00 unless you have been PRE-DESIGNATED to help set up. Please form a line outside of the door. I will open the swap up 5 minutes early to those who volunteered to help set up. Please ensure that you actually helped before you start swapping - Each volunteer can choose 4 items for themselves in the 5 minutes given.

PRINT OUT YOUR RECEIPT FOR ENTRY TO SWAP!

or bring $7 cash to the meetup. Please bring exact change.

Half of the money will go to RAINN (Rape Abuse Incest National Network) and the other half will go to group maintenance & drinks. Swap from 1PM - 3PM Please come on time if you want to get the good stuff before it's gone. ALSO: If everyone if done swapping early, we will CLOSE UP SHOP EARLY... The start time is 1PM... (not 2PM, not 3PM) We had an few angry swappers who showed up just before 3:00 and were unable to swap becasue we were wrapping things up...

I SAY AGAIN - START TIME IS 1PM...

Make sure clothing is clean, no stains, no holes, rips or tears and no broken buttons or zippers. If you would be PROUD to pass it on to your girlfriends, than you should bring it. Please do not bring undergarments unless they are NEW WITH TAGS... we're looking for clothing from any season for this swap. If you should find something unswappable on any of the tables, please remove it. No one should be disappointed because it's everyone's jobs to police the tables for non-wearables;)

If you are bringing guests, please ensure to add them to your RSVP.

Last, but not least, bring your swaptastik attitude and plan to come and have a blast!

Please take pictures of yourselves with your swap finds and post it on meetup and facebook! We'd love to see what you all have found!

Happy Swapping!

Kim

Please comment if you can help set up or break down... I would ideally like about 10 people so if you want to help, let me know right away... the first 10 people who respond will be my helpers... Thanks!

Need one person to come early (Like 11:30) with ice for the drinks. Please let me know if that person is you. (We need about 4 bags and you wouldn't have to pay to get in)

Thanks!

Good morning Ladies! I'm looking forward to the swap today. I have something that I need to put out there which may or may not be received well by you...but, feel it needs to be said. As mentioned before, I am bringing a large (at least 25 pair) of shoes, most desiger names and some never worn to the swap today. I know these will be a hot item to many. I am hoping that everyone will be considerate of others and only take 1-2 pair at first and allow others to enjoy them as well. Then later in the swap, take more if there are any left. I've just noticed at previous swaps that there are some people who will just start stuffing things in bags without even trying them on to see if they fit. With shoes, I think you should try them on there instead of just hogging them. I am bringing a can of disinfectant that can be used in the shoes when trying on. Please, don't anyone be upset with me for asking this of you. I just want all to enjoy and wanted it to be the full size ladies.

Hi Ladies! I've missed the last few swaps and am excited to be able to make this one! I just bought a condo in Kingstowne...so, I'm even closer to the Govt. Center than I was before! Anyway, wanted to give everyone a heads up that I am bringing a BUNCH of great shoes size 8-9 (in original boxes) for the Swap...some designer (Chinese Laundry, etc) as well as some decent clothes 14-18 range. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!!

This is a little far out for people who rely on public transit

unfortunately this is the only place that lets us use the space for free. If you want you can put a note on the board asking for a ride or for someone to meet you at the train station... people always do it and it usually works out:)

I added another person to my reply. I hope this helps.

Thought this was very interesting: When asked why he or she was leaving the group, Katherine answered:
"You've turned it into your own personal party. Total disrespect for member except your friends. Shame on you."

    REALLY? I am miffed -

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
