The idea of this multi-cultural group is a girls only group where us females can have fun without the drama. I used to manage a co-ed group but transferred it to another friend so I can concentrate on us girlies. While in that co-ed group, I made several very good friends and I hope to continue the trend and help others meet and make some friends, too.

Ladies, if you're thinking about joining but aren't sure that the meetups are up your alley, please join anyway. If, after viewing the calendar, you find out its not for you, you can than drop the meetup. I'm saying this because I would like to keep the events private, but more importantly safe and confidential to its members. Even though this group specifically says 'girls only', several men have tried to join which is a no-no. So, ladies, give us a try and if it doesn't work out, feel free to drop out, no questions asked; and always feel free to rejoin later, if need be.

I work from home so making friends and having some girl friends to hang out with can be difficult to come by. Add that my husband and I are empty nesters and the fact that he can be a workaholic at times, leaves me with free time to play; particularly during the week nights. I'm a very active 46 year old but like to always say that I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

This group accepts and welcomes all ages. This group of women have grown to include 20 year olds past those in their 50's and beyond. This is a very diverse group of ladies who like to do many different things.

Our calendar includes the usual happy hours and dinners/lunches/brunches but it also includes palm/tarot card readings, many hikes of varying levels, bowling, monthly member meet and greets, game nights, treasure hunts (i.e., geocaching), wine festivals/outings, brewfests, day/weekend trips, handgun classes and shooting ranges, comedy shows, bar crawls, book clubs, white water rafting, tubing, ziplining through tree tops, cookie/recipe exchanges, country line dances, salsa dances, charity events/walks/runs, yoga, gym buddies, tennis, and tailgating/sports parties, just to name a few!! Our calendar is without limits! Don't worry if you don't see any of your favorite activities on the calendar because we/you can add them!!

The majority of our activities are in Sterling, Reston, Herndon, Ashburn, Leesburg, Fairfax and surrounding areas but sometimes events have been posted for Maryland (hikes and ziplining) and DC for special events. It's not to say we don't go to other locations but they are seldom posted.

Please keep in mind that this is a girls only group but we also do co-ed and family events, too. I need my girls just as much as I need my husband.
