Spray Park to the Base of Echo Rock

For those of you that have not visited Spray Park now is the time to go! I was there 2 weeks ago and with the late snow this year the flowers should now be in full bloom. This area has it all! Waterfalls, meadows, wildlife and a pretty big mountain so close you can almost touch the top! I have designated two park-n-ride locations so please read carefully.

Last Update - I Promise! Again, Sunday's weather will be perfect and the views on this hike will be amazing! All I ask is that you keep your RSVP updated and do your best to be on time. We have some that will be meeting the group at the trailhead and it's not fair to make them wait.

The flowers are now in full bloom! Additional details including pictures are posted on the most recent trip report.

As previously stated, traction devices are not needed but could be useful as some snow still remains - Trekking poles are recommend.

If others agree, I would like to checkout Carbonado Saloon after our hike to grab a bite and celebrate our awesome day!

Update: Weather forecast calls for sunny skies and warm temperatures on Sunday! I have increased the number of attendees to allow those on the wait list to attend. We will also need additional drivers to the trailhead so please update your RSVP to include which park-n-ride and if you're available to drive. Yoshi will meet those folks at Eastgate at 7:30am to assist with carpool arrangements and I will be at the Auburn park-n-ride. If you have a Mount Rainier or America the Beautiful annual pass please indicate that as well.

Yerbolat: They didn't have any fee station last fall when I went.

A drop box is located approximately 5 miles from the lake. Alternately, a ranger station is at Carbon River entrance. A park pass (as descripted above) is required to be displayed inside your vechicle.

Is anyone coming from Seattle that I could carpool with to Eastgate?
Unfortunately buses don't run real well at that hour. :(
