Hi, I'm very outdoorsy and just moving from the East Coast to Seattle...
Yes. Hiking and snow boots.
I've even walked Manhattan lengthwise. More than 200 blocks. ;)

Thanks for joining, Ruth!
Ruth: Ask, and you (or we) shall receive: I just formed the New York Expats (NYEX) in Seattle Meetup Group. It may take a few days to propagate in the Meetup system, and we don't have an upcoming event planned just yet, but you can access the site via below link.
I would be SO grateful if you could please join and tell your former NYC acquaintances here in Seattle. Pass it on, and hopefully we can all get together!
Ruth - Quick question for you: Do you know any other former New Yorkers who are now in Seattle? I went out last night with a fellow former Manhattan-ite who is now living in Seattle, and we had a blast. We began to think about starting a Meetup Group for former New Yorkers now in Seattle, but not sure what the level of interest might be. Any thoughts you have would be interesting and appreciated!
Fremont is an awesome neighborhood - Actually, one of the places we checked out when we were deciding on where within Seattle we wanted to live. We wound up moving into a place in Capitol Hill - We've really been enjoying our time here. How do you like Fremont?
That's so cool, Ruth! I also used to live in the West Village - Jane and Washington Streets! My wife got a new gig earlier this year with a local company, and since I can work from home, we decided to relocate. What brought you out to Seattle?
Hi Ruth, How do you like Seattle?
Hope to meet you soon.
Hi Ruth contact me about the Mt Shukson skills thanks. allison
Psyched you're coming Sunday! You probably want to bring a large locking carabiner and belay device but I have extras you can borrow if you can't pick one up. Might also be good to have a sling or daisy chain to tie yourself off at the top if you're cleaning a top rope but this isn't critical.
