Wow, this week has been good for shows. I just got another one!
So now I have the following shows for the weekend:
1) VOCA PEOPLE at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street
- tickets available for Friday 2/17 at 8pm
Voca People is an out-of-this-world musical event that combines vocal sounds, a capella singing, comedy and the art of beat box. Performed by eight snow-white ruby-lipped aliens with perfect harmony, there are no musical instruments, only vocals. Voca People believe music is the source of life that brings harmony, joy and refueling. A performance bursts with over 70 well known songs that create vocal "fireworks" and leave audiences clapping along and snapping their fingers. Voca People is the musical theater event that bridges languages, cultures, and planets.
2) TRACES, at the Union Square Theatre, 100 East 17th Street, just off Park Avenue at Union Square
- tickets available for:
- Friday 2/17 at 8pm
- Sunday 2/19 at 3pm
In TRACES, the human body is pushed to its limits as a group of friends leave their mark in a run-down warehouse through acrobatics, music, and dance. Fusing the traditions of circus with the energy of street performance, TRACES is an explosive display of raw emotion and physicality in an intimate urban setting.
“THE MOST FUN AND MEMORABLE 90 MINUTES YOU’LL HAVE ALL YEAR!” – Entertainment Weekly

“A FIX OF PURE URBAN ADRENANLINE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL THAT MAD PULSE-RAISING MAGIC.” – Ben Brantley, The New York Times
“BREATHLESS AND ELECTRIC! A KINETIC, URBAN CIRCUS ON A HUMAN SCALE.” – Associated Press
“FEARLESS, FEARSOMELY GOOD ACROBATS THROW THEMSELVES THROUGH THE AIR WITH THE SORT OF RECKLESS MASTERY THAT ONLY YOUTH CAN CONFER.” – New York Magazine
LOVE LOSS AND WHAT I WORE, at the Westside Theatre, 407 West 43rd Street Tickets available this week for:
Friday 2/17 at 8pm
Sunday 2/19 at 7pm
Proving that a great show is always in fashion, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, with its starry rotating cast and compulsively entertaining subject matter, has become the toast of Off-Broadway. This intimate collection of stories is about to enter its second smash year. Like the popular book, the show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to, creating one of the most enduring theatergoing experiences in New York.
February cast includes: Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Alexandra Silber, Robin Strasser, Zuzanna Szadkowski, and Dawn Wells ==================
All tickets are $30
Let me know asap if you would like to get tickets, which show, and how many. Thanks!
