This is an 8 mile walk over entirely flat ground. Most of the walk is over paved paths with a few dirt tracks so trainers or comfortable footwear should be fine for this walk. This walk is graded as 2/10.
Join us for a lazy Saturday walk along the Thames with beautiful river views. We'll start at Putney Bridge tube station and head West along the Thames path.
Along the way we'll pass beautiful landscaped gardens, gorgeous riverside pubs and some amazing historic architecture.
We'll stop at the Ship pub at Mortlake for lunch (although feel free to bring a packed lunch) famous for being the end point of the Oxford / Cambridge boat race.
Once suitably refreshed we'll continue on to the the very upmarket borough of Richmond where we'll finish the walk by having a drink in one of the many riverside pubs
We'll meet at Putney Bridge tube station at 10am and leave at 10.15 sharp. As this entire walk is within the London Travel card area there will be no up front charge for train fares.
- At least one litre of water (preferably two)
- A packed lunch
- Money for refreshments before / after the walk.
The cost of for the day is £3 which includes Paypal fees and a guided hike. There are no train fares for this walk which is reflected in the cost.
