This was fun! There aren't enough Build-a-Bears to get me to dance like a ballerina, though. -_- Thank you for holding this event and for getting us that fantastic discount on our plushies! I look forward to doing this one again and next time I'll cart along my bunny suit.

Excellent fun time! Had a blast with others and thank god no security issues were observed... :D

Damn... The I 405 traffic is affecting my arrival... Hope to be there soon

*sighs* well, it was worth asking. Unfortunately, if things are going to wrap up around 4pm, then there's no point in me trying to go...which makes me very sad, because I won't be home til at least 4:30... I kinda wish that some meetups would be done during the week, or at a later time then smack dab in the middle of the afternoon on the weekends...then I might be able to go and have fun with all of you...Oh well...Have fun all,

Mmm, what you mean any word?

    March 30, 2011

  • Robbert the Kangaroo (.

Any word? Just that the big days coming up and I am a bit nervous. Oh and I may be there around 1:30-45... What should I do? I am no suiting

    March 30, 2011

  • Sharako

The party with build a bear is booked until 4 PM or when ever things get done, after that everyone will be gathered and if your wanting to get pictures with the Easter bunny you can, Easter Bunny Pictures are out of the wallets of the suiters/handlers wanting pictures. I know last year most suiters pitched in for one picture, which was like 17 bucks so not cheep.

    March 28, 2011

  • Fiory W.

How long with suiters be allowed to be there? Meaning, if it's only going to be a 1 hour thing I won't be able to go..which is depressing, cause I literally live just down the street. I just work until 4pm on Saturday...Any chance this event going past 4pm? *hopes, wags tail*

  • Yarek

I am still hoping to make it out to this

    March 18, 2011

  • Sharako

Why Yes I will. I have a letter from build a bear and the mall maneager that I spoke to will be there for our event. She has seen the pictures from the last time I did this event and is looking forward to it. It is going to be lots of fun. If any of you feel uncomfortable at the time of the event pleas feel free to come and tell me and we can work things out. There should be no problems what so ever with this event.

    March 17, 2011

  • Eternally C.

will you sending out some kind of info for us to have to show the mall police that yes we may enter the mall(since some of us where "profiled" at halloween or should we use the back door of the store

    March 17, 2011

  • Sharako

I have everything worked out with the mall management and build a bear and so on. This event is a go go go.

    March 17, 2011

  • Sharako

@ Cassidy : Please talk to me privetly about this.

    March 9, 2011

  • Odakota

Given the past history of this mall and fursuits I'm not going anywhere near there.

    March 8, 2011

  • Tweeko W.

Only if someone gets something in writing will I go to this event!

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

Yes it does have a back entrance. There is also a back room that can serve as a changing area. I will be dealing with the mall management soon. I assure you no one will be removed from the mall. BAB is there and wants our business. I will post more soon with the agreement with the mall.

    March 8, 2011

  • Eternally C.

if its in black and white and everyone has a copy of it then the mall cops can stand outside the door of the store and just wait to pounce on us if we step out side the entery way.
Does the store have a back way in so we dont have to run into the mall cops?

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

I will make sure what ever I get arranged is in writing.

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

So far I have had no problems with mall security at any of my events and no one has been escorted form the premises.

    March 8, 2011

  • fenrirs_child

which could be an added issue for some, as i believe some names and license plates were taken last time, and if they've been warned already, i can only imagine that the police would be involved. it's nothing against you or your store or your idea, it's just a proven fact that alderwood mall is hostile to suiters, and to prevent issues getting proof in writing from the mall manager is really the only safe way to go. this has the details http://www.meetup.com/furlife/messages/boards/thread/9972405

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

The entire space of the store has been cleared. The Easter Bunny pictures are still up in the air. They have not moved into the mall yet. Last year I got OK to move from one part of the mall to another as long as both stores were in agreement that we where welcome there. I had to check way in advance with mall management and I thurally intend to meet with them work everything out. I have always been welcome to do my events there.

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

I have done this in the past. All the managers in my store know about what rules are there. A changing area and suits being in the store are allowed. The mall security can not do any thing about the suiters in the store. I have dealt with this in the past. any thing past the entrance to the store is "security" territory.

    March 8, 2011

  • fenrirs_child

right, but even you have changing space right inside the store it doesn't negate the fact that the mall security has been proven to be overzealous in the past, even after attempts to inform mall management of our arrival and intent. you're not taking into consideration that your store's suit is most likely known about by security, and if they consider the fursuiters a safety hazard, they will sure as hell remove them from the premises, whether your store has given them clearance or not...

    March 8, 2011

  • Sharako

I work at build a bear, Our store has a suit and I assure you that each store is in charge of what happens there. I will make sure every thing goes as planned.

    March 7, 2011

  • Se'kar

you better make sure that you get permission in writing and everything is absolutely and completely official. It need to be ok'ed by the head of all security and all the guards need to know it's ok, not just the one specific store.
I'm really not up for getting kicked out of the mall again. Like fenris said,we got profiled over halloween like CRAZY, they wouldn't even let anyone of our group stay on the premises if they were just wearing tails because they got so twisted up about the suits.

    March 7, 2011

  • Yarek

This sounds like a lot of fun, I hope I can go, depends on if I have transportation or not

    March 7, 2011

  • Sailish Fox / Thunder O.

I was not wearing my fursuit, I let Shadowfoot wear it and the fursuit cost me 900 dollars.

    March 7, 2011

  • Robbert the Kangaroo (.

Yes I remember seeing your fursuit at ECCC?

    March 7, 2011

  • Sailish Fox / Thunder O.

Then this should be the second furry meet this year that I wear my fursuit at.

    March 7, 2011

  • Sharako

I am not sure why things went poorly at Halloween, but I am willing to get to the bottom of everything. What it comes down to is each store is incharge of what goes on inside of it. BAN has said Yes and is looking forward like always to furries and suiters alike.

    March 7, 2011

  • Sailish Fox / Thunder O.

If this works out with no problem then I hope that the furlife can do the Halloween furry meet again at the mall.

    March 7, 2011

  • Sharako

Thanks. I am sure things will be as awesome as last time.

    March 7, 2011

  • Robbert the Kangaroo (.

Hmmm... I hope things go well.

    March 7, 2011

  • Sharako

Each store is in charge of what goes on in it. I personally work at build a bear and assure that Fursuits are welcome in the store. There is a hallway that has been used in the past to change in. I have run this type of meet 4 times in the past. I am still in the process of working everything out, but at the least there will be suiting allowed in the store as well as an area to change guaranteed.

    March 7, 2011

  • fenrirs_child

are you SURE? last time fursuits went to the alderwood mall, they were chased out by security and profiled something fierce, and this was on HALLOWEEN of all days... you'd better get something in writing from the mall manager, or i highly doubt any suiters are gonna risk having that happen again...
