Howloween 2012

In 2002, less than a dozen Furries gathered at a house in Burnaby, British Columbia to eat pizza and watch videos. Ten years later, Howloween has grown from a house party into a furmeet, into a min-convention, which last year attracted 182 Furries.

This year the eleventh incarnation of Howloween is being held on November 10, 2012. After last year’s experimental two-day format, 2012 sees a return to the single day of activities, including fursuit
games, events, art games, game shows, lots of hangout space, and a dance that will last late into the night (although, as is traditional, post-Howloween Bowling will take place on November 11th, gathering at 1PM). But the venue is the same as last year: The beautiful Executive Hotel & Convention Centre (site of VancouFur).

This year’s theme is Pirates, so yee scurvy dogs don’t be belaying your travel plans!

Howloween 2012 is also special because it will be the last Furry event to be attended by local Fursuiter and mascot performer Rennie Fox before he gets shipped back to Thailand on November 17.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
