Well I will of course be there, however I will be camping out there so sadly can't offer a ride. I'll also be helping to man the booth for the wildlife center, so I won't be able to hang out much, but anyone is more than welcome to come by and see me, and the live birds of prey we will have :)
Also, fursuiters should be allowed, but there really isn't much of an area for a changing place, so that would have to be done in like a car/van or something. And for anyone who would be suiting, I would advise caution if you approach the Sarvey booth with the birds of prey, as I have no idea how they will react to the suits. They may be fine with it, but they may also freak out, so if the bird is looking stressed and jumping off the handler's glove a lot, just back away to a further distance or come back later out of suit.
Look forward to seeing you there :)

Seems this was made into an event, except the festival is this
weekend rather than last weekend.. is anyone interested in going to
this on Saturday? A couple of my favorite bands are playing, and I'd
much rather go with some furries than someone random I find on
Craigslist. I could have gas monies for whoever wants to take me.

I'm not %100 sure if suits are allowed, but it's the type of
event that I don't think anyone would object. When posting
about this festival a few years ago, I contacted the
organizer of the festival and she said suits should be fine,
though the suiters might be subject to a security search.
I can email and ask again, however.

Sounds fun (and
refreshingly local :D) I've always been able to hear
the festival from my house, but never actually gone.
Suits allowed?

Would anyone be interested in this? It's
a native american pow wow and general
get together, there will be live music,
venders selling all kinds of nifty
things as well as food(including one
vender who sells the most AWESOME Navajo
fry bread) and lots of other activities.
There of course will be the pow wow
itself which includes a dancing contest
for the native american dancers.
Also attending will be the Sarvey
Wildlife Center, which I'm sure some of
you have heard me talk about, and we
will be there with several live birds of
prey to display and talk about.
The event will be Aug 13th and 14th and
is located at River Meadows County Park
in Arlington, and the festival itself is
free, though there is a $5 parking fee
for cars. For more information about
the festival itself and a schedule of
events and activities, visit their
website at:
http://www.stillaguamish.nsn.us/festival.htm
If there is enough interest in this,
I'll post it as an offical event on the
meetup calender.
