Re: [furries-290] Anyone looking to sell a Honda Civic or similar?

I'm selling a 1993 Honda Accord 2-door in the Issaquah area.  It has about 200k miles, automatic transmission, runs and drives wonderfully.  The engine is great, no leaks, but the transmission will need to be fixed which is why I'm only selling it for $1,000.  I got a quote from a shop in Issaquah that came highly reccommended, for $2,400 max with a shorter warranty, and the actual cost would depend on what's wrong when they open it up.  The last time I calculated the fuel economy it was somewhere between 21 and 24, but I'm sure that'll go up when the transmission is fixed.  The car wasn't maintained before I got it, but I've had the brakes fixed, timing belt was done at 180k miles, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, regular oil changes, etc.

If you're interested, my number is[masked].  Please don't call between 11pm and 8am.

Anyone on the list thinking of selling their Honda Civic or similar 35+ MPG car (a hybrid would be awesome!)?  I'm in the market, prefer 1995 or newer, my budget is $4,000 (preferably less, especially if its older than model year 2000) and yes, I can pay cash.  Prefer a 4-door, need engine and transmission to be in good shape and its important the car have no leaks (oil/trans/etc.)

Unfortunately I have an awkward schedule that's proving frustrating for a lot of craigslist ads particularly when they only provide a phone number, due to my limited odd hours for responding to ads or trying to arrange meetups for a test drive ... I work graveyard shift and sleep during the day.  I have Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings off, on work days the only real time I have to meet up would be in the mornings before 9 a.m. (and really prefer before 8 a.m.).  I don't want to call someone at odd hours if I don't know they will be awake (I hate getting calls in the middle of sleep and assume most folk don't!).  I live in the south end (Puyallup/Tacoma area) but willing to go a ways, even several counties away for the right deal.

Thanks!
