Climb 51 Stories to Help Raise Money for the American Lung Association!
It's more than a walk. It's more than a run. It's a unique challenge, an adventure...an accomplishment! Tackle 51 floors on April 19th in Atlanta's largest vertical competition. Push your legs and lungs to their fullest potential and walk away with a newfound respect for your lungs. You can sprint, jog, walk or crawl...any way you can get up the stairs to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from asthma. All funds raised at this event stay in Georgia and go to benefit research, education and advocacy to clean the air we breathe and help fight lung disease!
Registration fee is $30. The suggested fundraising amount is $100. Piece of cake!
51 stories = 1200 steps, and the pace is up to you. Run up the entire thing and do it 9 minutes...or take your time and take breaks...do it in 40 minutes. Either way you are climbing for a great cause, and getting a taste of what it feels like to live day-to-day with lung disease. (*Every week on Tuesday at 1pm they host a training climb so you can come and practice*)
To register, go to http://action.lung.org/site/TR?fr_id=8630&pg=entry

One thing wanted to mention was....
The stairs will be filled with handsome, sweaty firefighters who use this as training to save lives. Ladies, how can you say no to that?
