Comedy of Errors at the Shakespeare Tavern

Two sets of twins, one case of mistaken identity, and a nun walk onto the stage. No, it’s not the start of a joke, but it is hilarious! The Comedy of Errors takes Shakespearean funny to such slap-happy heights, you’ll be dizzy with laughter. This tale of the merchant twins Antipholus and the servant twins Dromio is full of errors, upsets, and fun.  Please join us for our monthly visit to the tavern!

Meet me in the lobby a little after 6. Doors open/seating/dining begins at 6:15. I will go in then to get us a good spot. We will likely be in our regular box seats. Check in at the box office to pick up your ticket under CRAP and your name as it appears on the Meetup site.  I have red hair and lots of freckles...you can't miss me.  Tell the hostess you are sitting with us when you enter the theater.

If this event fills up, I can try to add more spaces if tickets are available.  Please send me a private message if the event is full, but you would like to attend.

The New American Shakespeare Tavern is unlike other theaters. It is a place out of time; a place of live music, hand-crafted period costumes, outrageous sword fights with the entire experience centered on the passion and poetry of the spoken word. With an authentic British Pub Menu and a broad selection of Irish ales, premium brews, and liquor, the Shakespeare Tavern is a place to eat, drink, and nourish the soul.

DINNER:  You will need to pay for your own dinner if you will be dining at the Tavern with is.  The show begins at 7:30  Please contact me if you are running late or can't make it. Sometimes I can find someone to use your ticket.

PARKING:  There is a parking deck across Peachtree Street from the tavern for Emory Crawford Long Hospital.  It's only $4 with your ticket stub!  It's safer than some of the surrounding surface lots and they take credit cards.

Love to chat more. And I can always use a travel partner! So hard to have a passion for travel and no travel buddies you enjoy hanging with. Lol.

First time going down to the tavern. Hopefully traffic will be good to make it on time for the 6:15 dinner. Looking forward to it.

The show won't start until 7:30 and they won't close the kitchen until about 7:15...so it's ok if you're running a little late. Looking forward to seeing ya!

Totally thought I'd be able to join "next month" ha ha, but I assumed it would be in June, sadly this is exactly when I can't come! I'll try for the NEXT next month! :) Would have been great!

Aw sorry - technically the May 1 meetup was the 'April' visit. Haven't picked a date for June yet. Will let you know!
