The Gainesville Gardening & Preparedness Network Pages

Grow a garden & share your bounty. Learn skills to be more self-sufficient and independent from the unsustainable, corrupt systems that too many depend on today. Interactions with members is all voluntary, but the hope is to build community and strengthen the network. Get involved and be the change you wish to see in your community.

As fuel prices rise and the economy continues to struggle, having your own food is one sure way to protect yourself and your family. Getting your local community involved will ease the burden around you & keep more people from standing in bread lines if/when times get bad or a natural disaster occurs - which may take grocery stores out of the equation.

Are you a seasoned professional? Share your tips & tricks! Just getting started? Post your questions for others to join in the discussion. All skill levels welcome!

Building a strong local network is a big part of the strategy. Share the group with friends you know that would love to partake. Invite those who are in need of supplementing their food supply & cutting the cost of grocery bills. The larger the group, the better selection for us all and the more success we will have in obtain- ing variety. The group will continue to evolve & grow to meet the needs of its members & with great ideas from all of you. May your fields, orchards, container gardens or raised beds be bountiful!!
