Compost Workshop

Join Gainesville Compost for a comprehensive kitchen waste composting workshop at the Downtown Farmers Garden. Learn the principles of composting as developed by a local bike-powered composting business over the last two and a half years. You'll learn how to make black garden gold in under 2 months from you and your neighbors' kitchen waste; an overview of the tools you can use to do composting right; one secret to kickstart a new compost pile that can save you 3 to 6 months; how to make the compost of finished compost in your garden; and how you can use earthworms to assist your composting efforts. Led by Chris Cano of Gainesville Compost.

Downtown Farmers garden faces main street for anyone who hasn't been there yet.

I'm going to guess that this is canceled, so I am not going to bother going. Thanks for the info, Kayla and Kelly!

I got word through Facebook I think that the location has been moved from the downtown garden to the Porters Community Farm at 518 SW 3rd St.

Wait, I can't find it on FB either, but now I'm seeing a FB notification from 3:04PM Tuesday that says Melissa DeSa canceled the event "Composting Workshop."

I so want to go but I will be out of town. I hope someone takes notes or will share the information with me.
