Mixamo Animation Presentation

Mixamo makes 3D character creation rigging and animation easy, quick and affordable.

This Thursday, Mixamo experts will present a practical walkthrough showing how to bring a 3D mesh in Mixamo in order to Auto-Rig it (unsure of what that is? Take a peek here), browse and apply animations to it from Mixamo's Motion Collection (check the collection here), and bringing it back inside the Unity 4 game engine.

Another informative intro course for beginners into using this great software! No cost.

If anyone thought there was a low showing(at least one person who went wrote me saying they thought that was the case). The Mixamo guys came to our studio and a couple others to give us private demonstrations. They told us that the presentation they gave us would be the same they'd give at Capsity, so I'm sure a lot of us decided to just stay home.

In either case, I think it's pretty damn cool that bay area game middleware companies are seeing Sacramento as worth their time to visit.

Yeah it wasn't a huge crowed but it was still a good showing! They are excited be in Sacramento and working with people here. So I am sure we will be seeing more of them in the future ;-)

I was more interested in seeing how the auto rigging works, and then how it looks brought back into a modeling program to animate, rather then into a game engine. But it was fun to attend.

Thank you for your feedback! We will let them know. Hopefully you still got some useful information out of it all.
