A Brief Introduction to Blender

  • September 1, 2012 · 1:00 PM

This is another of our community based educational classes that we will be doing from now on. The service we will be doing using is an awesome startup called SkillShare. They share the same vision as we do in that community should be helping the community!

Who is teaching this class?

One of our awesome and very active members of the community who has lots of experience teaching students. He is currently working with a bunch of other members building a game, he is an 3D modeler and animator.

Who is this class for?

Anyone interested in 3D modeling.

What will I learn from this class?

Get an introduction on how to use the free 3D modeling tool Blender!

Is it free?

Since people are taking time out of their busy schedules to give back to the community it only makes sense that they are able to get paid for their time. So the classes will not be free, but will be very cheap, this particular class will only be 5 dollars.

It was a great primer to Blender. George is very knowledgeable with the software. His insight was helpful in decifering the initially daunting interface. Practical use of the program interface was my biggest take away from the class. The first step to learning any software package is its basic navigation and layout. I highly recommend George's classes. He knows his stuff, he's a good teacher and he's a nice guy!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
