NYC Gaming July Meetup

This month, NYC Gaming has moved to General Assembly -- say hello to more space, more drinks and later hours.  But some things don't change -- once again, we'll be offering cool people, awesome demos and that NYC Gaming vibe.

Unfortunately given the cost of the venue and drinks, we'll need to charge $10 per person.  Hopefully the charge won't be a permanent thing.

Interested in demoing your game this time around?  Email [masked].

Note that all RSVPs must happen on our Eventbrite page here:

Hi everyone! I wrote a blog post for the NYU Game Center about my experience demoing Dreamland this week, with a focus on tips for presenting games. It gets pretty nerdy, though...

Cool venue, interesting demos, and great networking. Very well organized and smoothly run. Making it on a Monday night was kind of rough though, which perhaps is why so many people seemed to head out pretty soon after the demos.

It was a ton of fun!! The only thing that kind of surprised me is that Brad was awesome enough to give us a place we could chit chat more after the demos, and half of the people left the moment demos were done. An hour after and there were a few small groups. I was just surprised the room cleared so quickly.

New venue is really nice! Be sure to dim the lights at the outset, and maybe finetune the audio hiccups. Other than that, great demos/ crowd.

Sorry I couldn't attend. Hope I can make the next one! And yes, I hope the charge won't be permanent. :-)

I got there around 10:35pm and no one was there. I even posted I may be late and get there between 7-10pm and no one messaged me to warn me about it being a problem. ALL meetups should post up the approximate time that it ends so late goers don't end up going there for nothing.
