OC Gardening Club

The OC Gardening Club (OCGC) and GryFy: GRow Your Food Yourself are the premier gardening meetups in orange county. These meetups are a great place for gardeners and plant people to gather and enjoy the many gardening events in Orange County.

The emphasis of OCGC is on ornamentals. Besides making you aware of public gardening events, we are trying to organize into smaller groups that meet to discuss particular ornamentals like African violets, begonias, irises, lilies, plumerias, roses, etc. When you join, please make sure you indicate your interests in the survey.

Our sister meetup, GryFy, is dedicated to growing edible plants such as fruits, herbs, and vegetables. If you are interested primarily in edibles, this is the meetup you should join. Of course many people are members of both meetup groups and we often have overlapping topics like irrigation, soil and composting, etc. Many ornamental plants are also edible.
