Dog Wash at the Garland Shelter

Friday, we need volunteers to wash and groom adoptable shelter dogs in preparation for taking them offsite to find new homes on Saturday.

We meet at the shelter at 3:30 pm and are usually done washing between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. Even if you cannot stay the entire time, you're help is welcome and needed. The shelter has limited supplies of shampoo/conditioner, grooming tools and dog treats. If you have extra, please feel free to bring them.

If you don't see us in the lobby, just let one of the shelter employees know you are there to help wash the dogs. We will either be outside between the 400 and 300 room or in the recovery room.  Come on out, it truly is a fun and rewarding experience.

You guys get it done! Thanks to the awesome vet team, many of our adoption "candidates" were recently spayed or neutered so not as many for the bath. The ones bathed received the deluxe treatment!
Thanks for Jeanne and Danielle staying later (and Jeanne starting early) so we had all these cuties in collars and properly tagged before it was time to close the doors. Also thanks to Linda for the yummy dog and cat treats-who doesn't like a snack after a bath?!

    Charlotte,
I will be there today. Last month I had every weekend booked for church or cooking for camp. I really missed all of you. Glad I get to see you today.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
