Volunteers are needed for the following duties below:

We need 3 to 4 people to meet at 8:15 a.m. to help transport animals to the adoption site. You will need a vehicle that is large enough to hold crates for dogs or cats such as a truck or SUV.

Firehouse #2-3136 South Shiloh Road, Garland, TX 75041

Volunteers are needed for the adoption event starting at 9:00 a.m. at the above location. Duties include unloading crates, walking dogs, cleaning crates, etc.

If you have not been to one of our events there will be training session between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. once all the dogs have been unloaded and we are set up for the event.

All volunteers must attend a training session before they can volunteer at our events.

Please answer the questions when you RSVP for this event. Your time is greatly appreciated!

PARKING: There is limited parking available at the Firehouse and we need to leave parking spaces for those who are stopping by to adopt. Parking for volunteers is available next door at the car wash along the sides and up against the fence. DO NOT BLOCK the car wash bays. If you volunteer in the afternoon, parking is available across the street at the Laminack Tire Center after they close at 12:00 noon.

Hello! My neighbor has a friend who needs to surrender their cat and asked me if I would be able to help. I was wondering if it would be appropriate to bring the cat over to the adoption or straight to the Tower Street center?

Hi Marijo, we can't take in the cat at the firestation. You are more than welcome to stay with the cat at the adoption event in hopes of finding it an adopter/home but we can't keep the cat. If you take the cat to the shelter on Tower street they will take it there but there are no guarantees that it will be adopted.
