This game night will be held in the CAP5 Technology Solutions' conference room. For this entry in our ongoing series of Friday night one-shots I will be running Green Ronin Publishing's Dragon Age.

Hey Kerry! Thanks for putting this on. I'm excited to be gaming again. Question: Will we be generating our own characters before we start or are there some already in place?

We'll be using pregens.
Quick question: is there an expectation to be familiar with the rules? I have the game, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I would really like to try it out as I've heard great things about it.
Nope, no such expectations, I'll go over the rules before we begin, they're actually pretty easy to pickup with very few edge cases to worry about.
Woke up with an upset stomach. So, I don't want to risk infecting others if it is spreading.
No problem, hope you get to feeling better.

The Gauntlet is about getting together to play roleplaying games in Houston. We meet 4-5 times per week. We have played hundreds of different games.
Our current slate of weekly events:
Story Game Sunday is from 1pm-5pm. It's way more important than church, especially since Jesus wasn't even real. #HailSatan
The Gauntlet Game Jam meets Mondays from 6pm-9pm. This is when we drink beer at a bar and pretend to be game designers.
Wednesday One-Shots is every week from 7pm-10pm. We mostly run ongoing games. It's only called 'One-Shots' because of our love for alliteration.
The Anthology is every Friday from 7pm-11pm. We play a variety of games in our ongoing, McEurope-style fantasy campaign world. We maintain detailed notes for the two people who read them.
So come out and play! You will definitely like us and we will probably like you. No experience with a game is ever required, and we welcome drop-in players for the ongoing stuff.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
