If you’re too far from family to spend Christmas with them, don’t sit at home alone on Christmas day. Come join us for a vegan dinner out in the country surrounded by friends and nature. Spend a couple of hours or all day, a half mile back in the woods, in a rustic but warm and comfortable lodge type house with an open floor plan good for socializing, and lots of large windows for observing the natural setting. Be prepared for something a little unusual, my wife and I built the house with our own hands. It’s far from being finished, but it’s a great place to hold a casual event and can easily accommodate a group of 25 or more for dinner and games.
Come as early as you like. Dress comfortably, Jeans, sweat suit or pajamas. Dinner will be ready to serve at 12:00, but we’ll eat whenever we feel like it. I will prepare several simple traditional vegetables such as, Black-eyed peas or pinto beans, corn, lima beans, potato salad. I may even try making a sweet potato or broccoli casserole. Any dish or desserts and /or beverage you bring will be welcome additions.
I’m going to invite the Triangle Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup group, the Triangle Vegan Social Club, The Greensboro Vegan Meetup Group and the Very Vegetarian Society of Winston-Salem, to post this event, so you may get to meet some new veg friends.
