Johnny was good enough to prepare a list of local Greensboro and Winston-Salem vegan/vegetarian and raw food happenings which I'm attaching below. Please feel free to add a local event if you know of one!

PIEDMONT AREA VEGETARIAN/VEGAN HAPPENINGS, INFO
YOU do not need to be a vegan or raw foodist to attend- it's all about sharing ourselves over healthful foods! They make us feel our best. YOU are invited!

EVERY Monday night 6-8PM in Greensboro: Vegetarian and Vegan meal ($5 suggested donation) by our friends, Mitra and Mahara from the Krishna community in Sandy Ridge, NC near Hanging Rock. These lovely friends come to Greensboro to St.Mary's House (Episcopalian campus ministry) on Walker Avenue in the first house on the left going up the hill on Walker from Tate Street. Usually there is some live music and nice spiritual and vegetarian interest conversations...COME! No RSVP required yet it can help them plan ahead for the number of meals to be served. MONTHLY VEGETARIAN and VEGAN MEAL in Greensboro (date changes) next meal is Tuesday night May 6, 6PM-8PM by our gracious friends, Apurva and Kamalini Darling, former owners of Govinda's Vegetarian Restaurant in Greensboro (now Boba House). SUGGESTED DONATION: $12. They come over from Hillsborough (Chapel Hill area) and make an Indian vegetarian and vegan meal at 506 North Mendenhall at our friends, Ram's and Lori's home. It's a monthly meal and is always tasty and fun. From time to time there has been an entertaining play after the meal. Please RSVP for the next meal by May 1 to (919) 260- 6691. MONTHLY Greensboro RAW VEGAN POTLUCK Every 4rth Saturday 5:30-8 PM is held on the outskirts of Greensboro at the Unitarian Universalist Church, about 100 yards from Guilford College Rd down Hilltop toward High Point Rd. Come learn the latest recipes and ideas about live vegan foods for YOUR health! Learn to set up your own HEALTHFUL KITCHEN! See food demos! All welcome!

MONTHLY Greensboro Vegan Meetup hosted by our lovely friend, Jen is held at Boba House Restaurant (formerly Govinda's) on Tate Street in Greensboro at noon on a Saturday. We eat there together (this is not a potluck) and YOU will find lots of enthusiasm and support for the vegan lifestyle. All welcome!

MONTHLY VEGAN POTUCKS, Winston-Salem

Very Vegetarian Society of Winston-Salem V.V.S.W.S .meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at Miller Park Recreation Center. Meeting time is 6:30 p.m. Our meetings include a vegan potluck dinner and a guest speaker and are open to anyone who is interested in vegetarianism whether you have been a vegetarian for years or just starting out. You do not need to be a member to attend our meetings. All welcome!

We ask that you bring a vegan dish (no meat, dairy or eggs) to serve 8. Please bring a copy of your recipe to share. We request that you bring your own eating utensils, plates and cup.



Miller Recreation Center is located at 400 Leisure Lane , Winston-Salem, NC (about a mile from Whole Foods to the east, accessible off Stratford Rd near Business 40).

The Very Vegetarian Society is open to anyone who would like to learn more about vegetarianism. Membership in the group is free.
