There's a lot of interest in Arduino from both members and non-members and the Arduinos classes that Steve has been running lately have been very successful.
Following on from this we have set up a regular Arduino SIG (Special Interest Group). This runs on the same night as Open Night but utilizing the front section of the TechSpace building.
The night is not a talk-fest. People that come along take an active part. We usually see everyone with their Arduinos out and either working with someone else or demoing something to the group.
The Arduino SIG is free for TechSpace members or $10 for non-members. You can join the TechSpace on the night.
There are several group projects focussed on being exhibited at the Gold Coast show in August, but this doesn't preclude people from coming and working on their own Arduino projects for their own purposes.
More details will get added to the SIGs wiki page, and members and other interested can join the SIG's mailing list.
