Looks like a nice tidy and clean space :-)
Looks can be deceiving, or perhaps you have just got used to the mess. What was a total junkyard, is certainly now better, because:
  1. The pallet raking is helping a lot.
  2. I have spent a LOT of hours cleaning up after you guys, who continue to drop crap everywhere you go - coffee cups, drink cans, tools, bits of stuff, toys, scraps and waste from your building and hacking stuff - you name it.
Only a couple of people made any attempt to do any cleanup today, and the only recycle effort became almost a "let's just throw everything into a dumpster and forget it" non-effort. It seems that the entire idea of intelligent recycling and reuse will not work with most TechSpace members, so I am looking at starting a new Meetup group shortly "Gold Coast Tech Trash, Reuse and Recycling Group" and have them in the Space to do just that, so that might help a bit.

Viv and I were talking about getting assistance from particular contacts who might be in a position to help us, but Viv said he would be embarrassed to have them see the place as it is. I agreed; most of these sort of people with resources would take one look and walk out again. If we want help in being provided a space, we need to lift our game.

The last places to tidy are the entire hardware/electronics benches and table.

There are empty cartons of various sizes on the drinks machine to put stuff in. Help yourself, and as mentioned before, please bring any in or go dumpster diving around the locality and grab some. Everyone probably needs a container or two for whatever they are working on. Label them and put them onto shelves, or under the electronics bench.

We found the labeller late today in the cleanup, so on Wednesday I will label areas so it will be easy to see where to put stuff (ie labelled cartons/boxes of stuff where possible).

I have held off on buying plastic boxes, eg from Sams, partly because its better to use various sizes cartons, see what sizes are most needed, then standardise on one or two sizes that will also stack and fit on the pallet racking best, and just buy those sizes from then on.
