Effective Use of the Volley Networking Library

Starting at 6:30pm, we'll have free food sponsored by Arbormoon Software, Inc. Our main meeting will start at 7pm.

Announced and released at Google I/O 2013, Volley is a powerful library that makes common, complex networking tasks vastly simpler. Even better, it is highly customizable and extendable, allowing for plenty of flexibility to work with your app's requirements. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of great documentation on how to use Volley, especially when you get past the most basic use cases. At Mobiata, Volley played a central role in the re-architecture of FlightTrack in 2013. Scott Weber, lead developer on the project, will show you how to get started with Volley and how to leverage its power to go beyond just loading images from the network.

The speaker did such a great job for both Android experts and beginners. I like the Q/A with Jim - with his Son - Good to see more especially younger people.
--------- COuld you please give the link of the slides from Scott? Many thanks!

    Scott:
I can't wait to learn from you about Volley. After watching video, study a litter Jason, I feel need to do more homework before your lecture on 0327 at Arbormoon. I may have to bug you some questions before that.
As always I'll try to bring more people to ArborMoon, not just because warm Pizza, mostly because the best interfaces between the Haves and Have_Nots or Have-Less in the field of Android and other fields.
Since Volley is a baby of 2, your advise are important to us the new care-takers.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
