Google Developer Group Ann Arbor Android (GDG-A3) Message Board › 2013 summary & 2014 planning survey
Ann Arbor, MI
Thanks to all who attended events in the last year, our volunteer speakers, and special thanks to Arbormoon & Mobiata for providing meeting space and feeding us!
2013 was an active year with 11 events on a variety of Android topics:
January - Animations in Android (Scott Weber)
February - Database Introduction with SQLite (Dean Rochester)
March - Don’t Root Robots: Breaks in Google’s Android platform (Jon Oberheide)
April - Adapters: Bringing data into view (Joe Blough)
May - Google I/O Recap (Scott Weber)
June - Android Custom Views (Michael Pardo)
July - Understanding user behavior with analytics (Jim Vitek)
August - Android Debugging (David Wang)
September - Android Widgets (Melissa Benzie & Keith Bourne)
October - Agile Android (Godfrey Nolan)
November - Consuming Web Services with Android (Dave Truxall)
Additionally, several members gathered for I/O Extended, and cooperated with GDG-Detroit for a well-attended DevFest in March. Overall a great year.
In 2014 we plan to continue the monthly meetup pace, cooperate with GDG-Detroit again for DevFest, and offer another I/O Extended event.
In an effort to maximize benefit for all, I asked for topic and/or speaker suggestions at our last meetup. Several suggestions were given, but I would like to extend the question to those who were not present. Please take 2 minutes to complete the following survey so we can better serve you. Thanks!
