Both speakers were excellent with a particular thumbs-up to Will Norris. He covered alot of ground very effectively and held my attention the whole time. Google truly has outstanding people in it's employ...thanks for a great presentation on Google+ API

Excellent presenters; they covered a lot of ground quickly. Live demo with some background was very effective--I came away knowing why and how I might want to use Google+ APIs and feeling confident that I could use the online API explorer to get there. What more could you want?

informative. lots of information presented. google+ is an important topic so perhaps a meetup dedicated to "getting started w/ google+" which focuses on starter kits and setting up test apps.

We did try to record, but, the internal system here for that is not so great. I'll get the video back next week and if it is usable at all, I'll get it posted on YouTube and share link to it with the entire meetup mailing list.

Van, can you stream the audio at least. Or just record it. It is better than never.

Here is map to closest point to entrance to Bldg 43 lobby: http://g.co/maps/m62j8

Park near this point and walk into the inner quad of Bldgs 40, 41, 42, and 43. Just ask any Googler on campus to point you to lobby of Bldg 43.

Our usual live stream volunteer can't make it tonight. So, no live stream or recording for viewing later for this one. Sorry. If someone else wants to volunteer that has live streaming expertise for any future events, please let me know. We have a nice wireless mic now, but, are relying on volunteers with camera and recording expertise to make live streams happen.

Building 43 is at the main campus, along Charleston Ave and Google Drive. It's the big building with the dinosaur skeleton in front and Spaceship One inside. GEO[masked], [masked]

Yes. That will be covered. I stand corrected. There is something new for tonight. I know that Will is planning to do a lot of live code examples using the API explorer tonight too.

Which one one the buildings is building 43? Where should we park?
    Thanks

The Google search API has been announced since the Google+ meetup. Will this be covered tonight.

    October 12, 2011

  • Van R.

Also, please note that there have not been any significant new Google+ APIs launched since Chris Chabot's talk a few weeks ago. So, Will Norris is going to be covering the same APIs that were covered that night. Since there were a lot of people that couldn't get into that meeting, we decided to go forward with this one even though the same APIs will be covered.

I can't promise there will be a live stream tonight, but, will see what we can do. Stay tuned! If we manage to get it setup, we will post link to the live stream here, on @sv_gtug twitter account, and on my G+ public profile: http://profiles.google.com/vanriper
