YouTube Direct Platform presented by JJ

YouTube Direct is a platform for soliciting user-generated videos. It's been used by news organizations all over the world.  It has multiple pieces such as mobile applications written for Android and iOS as well as a server component that runs on Google App Engine.  Using the YouTube APIs, the different components of YouTube Direct are able to upload videos directly to YouTube.

JJ is a developer advocate for YouTube APIs. His goal is to foster a rich set of third-party applications built on YouTube APIs. He's a well-known member of the Python community. He blogs at jjinux.blogspot.com on topics such as Python, Ruby, Linux, open source software, the Web, and lesser-known programming languages.

They will not be deleted from YouTube if they are rejected. They will just be deleted from the YouTube direct site to which they were directed. They will still be on Youtube among your own submissions.

We built it on the Apache/Yahoo reverse engineered BigTable/GWT stack with DataNucleus and our goal is to revolutionize the web by ranking by viewed content rather than hyperlink factoring, and creating consistent objects out of web dox via the FB OpenGraph spec.
